The 6th Annual HOGS GONE WILD at @cyclecityltd will host a 40/40 Podagee Horseshoe Tournament. AUGUST 1st 2015
A $40 buy-in tournament that requires two players per team, 1 player must be OVER the age of 40 and 1 player must be UNDER the age of 40. It will be a 16-Team, single-elimination, using a 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 scoring system. Play until ONE team remains, winners get OVER $500 in Cash & Prizes…
Rules will be announced by referees on day of. Teams must check-in by 2:30pm on August 1st at Cycle City, Honolulu.
DESTINY:Na Koa X is going down Saturday, August 1st at Hawaii’s favorite fight venue, the Blaisdell Arena. Doors open 6pm, undercard actions begins at 6:30pm.
Another full night of action in what will be the most action packed card of the year with 5 titles on the line and 20 + fights lined up for you fight fans.
In the main event, veteran and island favorite from the Super Brawl days Tyson Nam returns to Hawaii to face the undefeated local rising star Arnold Berdon in a Bantamweight Title showdown. Both fighters are known for their stand up game and are never in a boring fight, so expect this to be fast paced and not go the distance.
In the co-main, a rematch has all of Hawaii fight fans excited as veteran state champ Chris Cisneros of Hilo goes to war for the 2nd time vs Maki Pitolo for our vacant Welterweight World Title.

The #PIAE, Defend Hawaii, Full Throttle Tattoo Hawaii, and Cycle City Ltd. are hosting three separate tattoo contests, that will offer hefty prizes as well as an advancement to a Winner’s Round at this year’s Pacific Ink & Art Expo!! Mark your calendars, the third and final round is AUGUST 1st.
DEFEND HAWAII is looking for TWO quality TATTOO ARTISTS to compete in each round where the winner will receive $1,000.00 CASH, an Eternal Ink sponsorship, and a Defend Hawaii Design Contract + Prize Pack. The category for Round 3 is POLYNESIAN TATTOO STYLE. Special guest judges will differ each round, along with all the grindz (food) that will be available during each event.
Contest Rules: Artists will be given a 4-hour time frame to draw AND complete the tattoo. Details will vary per round, but will be based on category. Three judges will watch start to end and give final tallies to announce contest’s winner on stage.
If you consider yourself a fine tattoo artist, or know someone who is, have them apply to us at email@example.com by submitting at least 3 examples of hand drawn sketches, 3 examples of completed tattoos, and a list of your/their social medias! With this much up for grabs, you’ll want to be a part of this! 5 lucky artists will selected out of all entries, and we’ll hold a special social media vote to select the TWO that will compete on August 1st for the Polynesian Tattoo Style round.

This past weekend @ the Aloha Stadium. Grand Pacific Events in conjunction with ESPN 1420 AM hosted the 5th Annual Ohana Cup Rugby League Festival. Also known as the LAVALAVA Festival took place this past Saturday. Gates opened up at 2 PM with the first Rugby matches starting at 3 PM featuring the Hawaii Youth Rugby teams. Later on in the day we got to watch the “City Chiefs” vs the “Country Kings”, both Hawaii Adult Rugby teams face off against each other.
Food, Entertainment even local Vendors were in attendance this past Saturday & Defend Hawaii had a booth at this years Ohana Cup. We had exclusive merch available like the “MATE MA’A TONGA RUGBY” & “TOA SAMOA RUGBY” tees. We also had the Official “2015 OHANA CUP LAVA LAVA FESTIVAL T-SHIRT” available in two color ways from sizes Small – 4XL. (shown above)
Big ups to all the families and people that came out to this past weekends event. It was such a success. The match up between Mate Ma’a Tonga & Toa Samoa was a heavy game. Samoan and Tongan pride definitely filled up the stadium. We are looking forward to the 6th Annual Ohana Cup!
